Captain Kevin King
Captain Kevin has shared a lifelong partnership with Elizabeth, whom he first met in church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, when they were just two years old. Their families were close, their fathers later became business partners, and remarkably, Kevin and Elizabeth even share the same birthday.

After attending the University of Arkansas and working in the family telecommunications business, Kevin and Elizabeth launched their own real estate brokerage in 2005. Combining Kevin’s sales and recruiting strengths with Elizabeth’s marketing expertise, they grew the company into the highest-volume real estate office in their region within three years.

Sailing entered Kevin’s life during their first crewed charter in the British Virgin Islands. Never content to simply go along for the ride, he spent the trip learning as much as possible from the crew. Over the following years, he completed ASA courses, joined additional cruises, and volunteered as crew on passages along the U.S. East Coast.

In 2019, Kevin, Elizabeth, and their three children completed an Atlantic crossing via the Azores aboard a 45-foot catamaran. The experience confirmed their dream of building a full-time life at sea.

Kevin enjoys the seamanship, adventure, and community that sailing offers. He values taking the slower route, meeting local people, discovering regional food and culture, and helping others experience the freedom and connection found on the water.

Chef Elizabeth King
Chef Elizabeth has walked through life alongside Kevin since childhood. The two met in Fort Smith, Arkansas, at approximately two years old, grew up through closely connected families, and even share the same birthday.

After attending the University of Arkansas and working within their families’ telecommunications company, Elizabeth and Kevin decided to build a business of their own. In 2005, they launched a real estate brokerage that grew rapidly through the combination of Elizabeth’s marketing talent and Kevin’s sales and recruiting experience. Within three years, it became the leading office in their region by volume.

It was Elizabeth who first suggested a sailing vacation as an escape from the demands of entrepreneurship and a possible path toward retirement. Their first crewed charter in the British Virgin Islands sparked a shared passion that quickly grew through sailing courses, additional voyages, and offshore experience.

In 2019, Elizabeth crossed the Atlantic via the Azores with Kevin and their three children, confirming that life at sea was the future they wanted. She later embraced living aboard while continuing to balance family life and the final transition away from their business ashore.

Elizabeth brings warmth, organization, and an easygoing spirit to life on the water. She enjoys exploring at an unhurried pace, connecting with local communities, sharing meals, and creating meaningful experiences with family, friends, and guests.
