CAPTAIN JOSIP KOVAČEV

Josip Kovačev is an accomplished Adriatic skipper with a distinguished career in luxury nautical tourism and private charter operations. With over fifteen years of professional experience on sailing and motor yachts ranging from 19 to 70 feet, he is widely regarded as a calm, reliable, and discreet captain, delivering exceptional service throughout the Adriatic. He has spent seven full seasons as captain of the Bali 5.4 “Namaste of Bali,” ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and guest satisfaction.
He holds B and C boat licenses, Yachtmaster 100 certification, and RYA Offshore Safety training. Known for his excellent communication skills and refined understanding of the Croatian coast, local customs, and cuisine, Josip combines professional seamanship with attentive, guest-focused service. Fluent in Croatian and English, with basic Italian, he brings professionalism, quiet confidence, and genuine passion for the sea to every voyage, making him a trusted choice for discerning charter guests.

STEWARDESS

Lucija Grabovac is an experienced Stewardess with multiple full and part charter seasons aboard sailing yachts and catamarans of 50 feet and above. With extensive experience cruising across Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, and Italy, she brings a polished, guest-oriented approach to onboard service, combining warm hospitality with high professional standards. Lucija is highly skilled in meal preparation, interior organization, provisioning, and daily guest communication, ensuring a seamless and comfortable charter experience. Her background in restaurant ownership and hospitality management has shaped her refined sense of service, discretion, and attention to detail. Fluent in Croatian and English, adaptable, and calm under pressure, Lucija consistently delivers attentive, personalized care, making her a valued crew member for luxury charter operations. Her enthusiasm for creating memorable guest experiences is matched by her dedication to maintaining impeccable standards onboard. Outside of her professional skills, Lucija enjoys exploring local cuisine and culture, which adds a personal touch to her service and enhances the guest experience.

An amazing first trip to Croatia and loved exploring the islands with Jo and Lucy. Vis was a real highlight and we enjoyed a mix of mooring overnight in secluded bays together with nights in marinas where we could explore the towns and local restaurants. Highly recommend a week in Champagne Please!

Enjoyed the paddle boards and scuba toy!

I loved it, the kids had fun and I think everything was great. Food was delicious and we are so happy with the crew, they are fantastic.

Lucy and Joe absolutely made this a 5 Star experience without them. I don’t know if I would’ve read it the same Her delightful personality The amazing cuisine. We had better food on the boat then out to dinner. Joe was a terrific captain. Very competent. Our dockings were so easy, smooth we felt so safe would absolutely do it again on champagne please only if Joe and Lucy was our crew we left we will definitely come back

There are not enough positive things I can say about our wonderful experience aboard Champagne Please with Josip and Lucija! We had the most wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The catamaran was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. Lucy and Jo were AMAZING!!! They were SO kind, warm, helpful and knowledgeable! Lucy’s food was INCREDIBLE!!! Everything she made was delicious, fresh, healthy and beautiful!!! We felt spoiled by them and truly enjoyed their company!

I should also add that we felt very safe on the catamaran and in Jo and Lucy’s hands. That was very important to us on a vacation/experience like this. They really made this experience the best for us and we miss them already. I would choose this type of experience and vacation over and over again if I could be guaranteed such a beautiful catamaran with this exact crew. It was perfect!!!!
