At 16, I got my SAS Skippers license, unlocking a world of aquatic leisure. Post-high school, I set sail for a year of au-pairing and European escapades in Amsterdam. Back home, I started as a waitress, climbing up to become a wedding coordinator at Sun Valley Wedding Ranch, polishing my customer care and organizational prowess. In 2018, my yachting dreams took shape with stewardship courses at Atlantic Yachting. Fate had a twist, introducing me to Westley during Covid. Together, we're a power duo, blending yachting and hospitality for waves of joy and unforgettable moments. Born and raised in South Africa, Vaughn found his passion for the kitchen early in life, beginning his career in Cape Town’s fine dining scene before expanding into guesthouses, private estates, and luxury yachts. Over the past 15 years, he has honed a style that blends precision with creativity, always elevating simple, quality ingredients into thoughtful, memorable meals tailored to his guests.

Vaughn’s experience spans a wide range of hospitality environments. From preparing elegant breakfasts in boutique guesthouses to serving as a private butler/chef in exclusive estates, he understands the importance of detail, presentation, and service. On board yachts, he brings the same professionalism and warmth, creating customized menus that reflect both destination and guest preference. His foundation in food hygiene, mixology, and formal service further supports his ability to deliver a seamless, elevated charter dining experience.

Beyond the galley, Vaughn offers a unique advantage: he is also a trained deckhand and AV/IT specialist.
