Kamel's passion for sailing has taken him from the waters of Argentina to the Mediterranean, where he has spent several seasons skippering both catamarans and monohulls. With a love for life on the water and a natural sense of adventure, he has built his experience through years of sailing, chartering and running his own sailing business. Kamel enjoys sharing his passion for sailing with others and making every trip a memorable experience. Calm, capable and always happiest at sea, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for life on the water.
Kelly grew up in Australia and has always been drawn to travel, new experiences and a life less ordinary. With over 16 years of hospitality experience across Australia and Europe, she has spent much of her working life creating welcoming experiences for people from all walks of life. Her introduction to yachting began in Australia, before taking her to the Mediterranean, where she worked as a hostess on both private and charter yachts. Kelly loves the variety of life onboard and takes pride in making guests feel at nome.
Once Kelly and Kamel met, they quickly discovered a shared love for adventure and exploring the world. What began as a relationship grew into a life of travelling and working together, from road-tripping across Europe to sailing the Mediterranean. Having spent several seasons working together as a captain and hostess team, they have developed a great understanding of each other's strengths and a natural rhythm onboard.
Now heading to the Caribbean for their next adventure, they are excited to welcome guests aboard, share their love of the ocean and help create unforgettable experiences on the water.
I also wanted to compliment them for your amazing customer service and management.
Last but not least I want to compliment the amazing crew. I run a business with 60 employees and know how hard it is to find good people that work hard and care about what they do. Nick, Jade, and Jontey were amazing and treated us like royalty.
Captain Nick is very safety conscious and we felt completely safe with him at the helm. Chef Jade is a fabulous cook. The two complement each other very well – you have a great team onboard. The weather didn't always cooperate but these two made sure we had a great time! We were not expecting such wonderful service - were treat like a king and queen for the week.
We had an amazing holiday sailing on shantaram. We loved the snorkeling, fishing, sailing the Blue waters and the delicious food. Nick, Jade and Jonty thank you so much for your amazing effort. You learned us how to freedive and appreciate the ocean and we loved it. We had the best time and we will be back.
